NORTH ANDOVER, MA, October 21, 2009: WIN Enterprises, Inc., a leading designer and manufacturer of embedded controllers and platforms for OEMs, announces the PL-80140, a high performance appliance that supports a broad range network services for the Enterprise and small businesses. It supports the Intel® Core™ 2 Quad processor and provides processing scalability with support for Pentium Dual Core and Celeron D also provided.

The Intel Core 2 Quad Processor is designed to handle intense compute and visualization workloads for highly threaded applications. The PL-80140 couples the Intel® Core™ 2 Quad processor and a 1333MHz Front Side Bus. The unit is designed with Intel® Embedded IA components warranteed for longevity to provide long product life. A high bandwidth dual channel DDRII DIMM socket supports 800/667 memory with up to 4GB. The unit is available with six Gigabit Ethernet ports through PCI-E x1 interface and offers four ports of optional bypass function.

The PL-80140 delivers high throughput for a broad range of network applications that include gateway security, UTM, network management, load balancing, WAN optimized acceleration, and VoIP gateway. The PL-80140 is RoHS, FCC and CE compliant.
