Ray Zinn: Build a company because it's your passion and not for the money

Many people want to start their own company for one reason--to get rich. But according to Ray Zinn, author of Tough Things First and former Micrel Founder and CEO, that's clearly the wrong reason. Hopefully getting rich is a byproduct of running a successful company, but it has to start with having a passion for what you do and for wanting to succeed. Ray should know; he spent 37 years at the helm of Micrel, one of the most successful semiconductor companies Silicon Valley has seen.
