How-To Book Features INtime (r) by TenAsys(r), the Industry-Leading RTOS for Windows(r)

November 23rd, 2009

Yorba Linda, Calif., Nov 23, 2009 – Annabooks releases a new book titled Real-Time Development from Theory to Practice Featuring TenAsys® INtime®. Written by John R. Malin and Sean D. Liming, the book provides the core foundation enabling the reader to go from understanding real-time concepts to putting them to use in applications. TenAsys INtime for Windows® is featured to demonstrate the basic concepts of hard real-time development and provides a development environment, integrated into Windows, that allows the reader to directly apply these concepts. Anyone running Windows XP or higher and Visual Studio can learn to program, test, and debug real-time applications on their PC.

“This is the newest title under the respected Annabooks brand,” says Sean Liming co-author. “The book is targeted for a wide audience from those just learning real-time to experienced developers working with INtime.”

“The INtime RTOS and Visual Studio IDE make a superb combination on which to teach this critical technology,” says Kim Hartman, Vice President of Sales & Marketing at TenAsys. “Real-Time Development from Theory to Practice provides a solid foundation of real-time operating systems use and architecture, combined with straightforward examples of development and debugging.”

Eight chapters cover real-time development basics such as threads, semaphores, mailboxes, regions, memory management, and hardware access. Multiple hands-on programming exercises are included throughout the book, which implement the various concepts. The code for each exercise is outlined and discussed with runtime analysis. Full code for all exercises is downloadable from the Annabooks website.

The book is priced at $49.95 and it is available on www.annabooks.com and the SJJ Online Store (www.sjjmicro.com/OnlineStore.html).
