AdvancedIO(r) Systems today released expressXG(tm), an FPGA framework that creates a sandbox region where customers can embed their own applications directly into AdvancedIO’s 10 GbE interfaces. expressXG abstracts the Ethernet protocols and interfaces reducing the development effort and schedule for designers.

Mercury Computer Systems has selected AdvancedIO’s V1021 10GbE PMC/XMC module for its SR-110 Gateway, a network-centric building block for VXS systems that integrates 10GbE Ethernet and RapidIO. In addition to V1021 sales already shipped, a number of orders are scheduled for the next year.

AdvancedIO is introducing a new family of rugged 10-Gigabit Ethernet XMC boards that are conduction cooled and provide packet processing. The first member of this family to appear will be the V1120, which buffers up to 115,000 jumbo-frame Ethernet packets over a temperature range of -40oC to 85oC.
