The Fort Worth-based electronic component distributor was named a Platinum Certified Distributor by Tektronix. This certification is the highest level that Tektronix awards to its distribution partners.

Allied Electronics announced today that it has signed a distribution partnership agreement with Quantum Semiconductor International that will give Allied customers ready access to laser diodes designed for industrial, medical, and academic applications.

Three leading electronic component suppliers, Abbatron, Qualtek and Schaffner, recognized Allied as their 2004 Distributor of the Year. Another leading supplier, Schurter, recognized Allied as its 2004 Catalog Distributor of the Year.
