Black Body Task – New range of Thermoelectric Thermal Reference Source (TTRS) products is available

TEC Microsystems introduces new range of Thermoelectric Thermal Reference Source (TTRS) products based on TO-8, TO-3 and TO-822 headers. Thermoelectric Thermal Reference Source (TTRS) sub-assemblies provide a temperature-controllable, uniform-temperature, high-emissivity surface that is used in calibrating of infrared (IR) detector arrays and FLIR systems.

When viewed by the FLIR system detectors, the TTRS enables the system electronics to perform gain and offset calibration as well as DC restoration for each pixel’s preamp.

TTRS sub-assemblies consist of thermoelectric cooler, emitting surface and temperature sensor. Usually thermoelectric cooler in TTRS is mounted on standard TO-8 or TO-3 headers. TE Cooler can be of single or two- stage type, providing different parameters for TTRS assembly. TEC Microsystems introduces four base and TTRS models – on TO-8, TO-3 and TO-822 headers – for scanning and starring systems. Customized solutions with other headers and package types are available. TTRS Sub-Assemblies can be both hermetically sealed or open units.

These sub-assemblies are driven by control-servo electronics. TEC Microsystems can help to design and fabricate such electronics. The header cap with IR window and hermetic sealing can be provided for customized solutions.

TTRS Assemblies can be supplied with different pinout configurations, temperature sensing devises and TTRS Emitter surface geometry upon request. Additionally TTRS products can be equipped by precise programmable OEM Temperature Controllers of DX5100 Series. TEC Microsystems GmbH also provides complete testing including temperature uniformity tests with IR camera for all TTRS products. Additional licensing or EUS are not required for ordering.
