15 September 2009, Bronschhofen, Switzerland – Swissbit announces the release of its latest high speed / high performance SDRAM memory module, the DDR3 Ultra Low Profile (ULP) Registered DIMM (RDIMM), which was designed to satisfy demanding high-density memory applications for embedded, industrial, communication & networking, medical, and military & aerospace environments. With a height of only 17.75mm (0.699”), Swissbit designers worked tirelessly to produce a module that surpassed JEDEC’s most stringent height requirements. Given this ultra-low profile the Swissbit DDR3 ULP RDIMM is a perfect choice for compact server and small blade server applications. The small size of Swissbit’s DDR3 ULP RDIMM allows for engineers and designers to greatly reduce the area needed for host systems that require the performance of high-capacity registered memory modules working within severe height restriction requirements. Availability of this module in both a commercial [0°C to +70°C] and industrial [-40°C to +85°C] temperature grade allows for further flexibility in its operating environment where cooling resources may be limited. The Swissbit DDR3 Registered ECC ULP DIMM is fully compatible with JEDEC electrical specifications and is available in 4GB and 2GB densities at speeds of PC3-10600 1333Mbit, PC3-8500 1066Mbit, or PC3-6400 800Mbit.
