Bronschhofen, Switzerland – Swissbit announces the release of its latest family of high speed / high performance SDRAM memory modules, the DDR3 Unbuffered ECC Ultra Low Profile (ULP) DIMMs. These 240-pin, 72-bit modules are designed to satisfy demanding high-density memory applications for embedded, industrial, communications & networking, casino gaming, medical, and military & aerospace environments. With a height of only 17.75mm (0.699”), Swissbit designers succeeded in producing a family of high capacity DDR3 memory modules that supports Error Detection and Correction (ECC) and surpass JEDEC’s most stringent height requirements. These Swissbit DDR3 ULP SDRAM DIMMs are a perfect choice for servers and workstations with Very Low Profile (VLP) SDRAM module requirements as well as for all other applications that require full-size DDR3 unbuffered ECC capable memory. The low profile of Swissbit’s DDR3 ULP Unbuffered ECC DIMM allows engineers and designers to greatly reduce the area needed for applications that require the performance of high-capacity ECC capable memory modules working within severe height restriction requirements. Availability of these modules in both commercial [0°C to +70°C] and industrial [-40°C to +85°C] temperature grades allow for use in harsh operating environments and/or where cooling resources may be limited. In addition this family of modules contains an on-board I2C temperature sensor with a simple serial communication link to allow constant monitoring by the host system. The Swissbit DDR3 unbuffered ECC ULP DIMM family is fully pin and functionally compliant with JEDEC’s PC3-10600 specifications and modules are available in 2GB and 4GB densities at speeds of PC3-10600 1333Mbit, PC3-8500 1066Mbit, or PC3-6400 800Mbit.
