Middleton, WI – June 8, 2009 – Extreme Engineering Solutions (X-ES) introduces XPm2000, a 3U power supply taking in a MIL-STD-704 28V-DC input voltage and providing up to 200W on 3.3V, 5V and 12V at 90% efficiency. This card also provides a MIL-STD-461E compliant EMI filtering. XPm2000 redefines the rules on what can be done with a 3U power supply and also features:

PICMG 2.11 standard 47 position connector pinout

• IMPM (I2C) Management and Monitoring

• Conduction- or air-cooled

• Supports additional external hold-up capacitance and optional on-card hold-up capacitor for up to 110 ms of hold-up time

• Fits 3U cPCI or VPX 0.8-in, 0.85-in, and 1.0-in pinch slot

• Load sharing support with another XPm2000

“X-ES searched the market for a power supply to meet the requirements of our ½ ATR XPand3200 supporting 3U VPX cards. As none could be found, XPm2000 was designed. We are now finding there is significant interest in the XPm2000 as a standalone product for system designs. Customers are impressed to find a 200W power supply featuring internal EMI filtering and 110ms hold-up time, all in a single-slot 3U form factor,” states Bob Senko, Director of Sales.

Pricing and Availability: XPm2000 is available starting at $2995; discounts are available based on volume purchasing.
