Magic Power USA releases ultra compact and low leakage current 300-Watt medical grade AC/DC switching power supply series. (P/N: MPM-U300 series)

The MPM-U300 series is a single or dual output 300W convection cooled or 350W forced air cooled AC/DC medical grade open frame switching power supply. The MPM-U300 series switching power supply features universal input, low leakage current, active PFC, utilizes thermally efficient U-channel chassis and has no noise quality. It offers three output choices, 12V, 24V or 36V with 5V floating. The MPM-U300 series is designed for medical systems or applications which requires very low leakage current. You can use two MPM-U300 series power supplies in parallel inside your system and still achieve leakage current below 300 uA.

Sunnyvale, California – May 5, 2009 – Magic Power Technology Inc. introduces the new 300-watt medical grade open frame single-voltage MPM-U300 power supply. The MPM-U300 is designed to be convection cooled, is RoHS compliant, and fits within 1U height constraints.

Key features are ultra low leakage current, below 150 micro amperes under 264VAC at 63 Hz, high efficiency up to 92% and designed for direct patient contact (BF) medical equipments, terminal block design for both input and output, and optional top cover.

The MPM-U300 is compliant with IEC/EN 60601-1 3rd edition medical safety regulation, and provide remote voltage sensing, short-circuit and over voltage protection. This MPM-U300 offers competitive densities, 198(L) x 97(W) x 41(H) mm, without performance degradation from 0 to 50°C.

The modular design of this medical grade power supply allows for the development of option modules for additional outputs, redundancy and UPS functionalities. Samples of MPM-U300 are available now.
