Samtec, Inc. has recently released its new Modified & Custom Interconnects Design Guide available both online and in print. This guide details Samtec’s design and development capabilities for application specific products, whether simple modifications to standard systems or completely custom designs.

If a standard Samtec product is close, but not exactly what is needed, Express Modifications can be quickly and economically achieved. Capabilities include pin and body modifications, special platings and orientations, and custom cables and wiring. Express Modifications are available with short leadtimes, quick-turn prototype samples, and no Nonrecurring Engineering Charges (NREs), tooling charges or Minimum Order Quantities (MOQ).

When a completely new design is required, in-house manufacturing, Samtec’s Signal Integrity expertise, and can-do attitude make Engineered Custom interconnects a realistic alternative. Custom components such as contacts and pins, special housings and platings, rugged features, and special packaging are just a few of Samtec’s unlimited capabilities for custom board level, high speed cable and flex, I/O, and test applications.
