New PMC module with two Fast Ethernet channels for new flexibility

The P511 is qualified for the extended temperature range of -40 to +85°C and prepared for coating against dust and humidity. For this reason it is perfectly suited for use in safety-critical or mobile applications. Long-time availability until at least 2019 guarantee that the user’s project is future-safe.

Dual Ethernet for use in industrial environments

The P511 is a 32bit/ 33 MHz PMC module with dual Ethernet functionality. It is equipped with 2 full or half-duplex channels via RJ45 and supports 10Base-T and 100Base-TX. Up to 6 GPIOs offer additional functionality.

The PMC offers the possibility to buffer all receive and transmit Ethernet frames either in a local or in an external data buffer in order to provide traceability and error analysis. This makes it particularly well suited for safety-critical applications.

The P511 is based on the USM (Universal Submodules) concept. The Ethernet functionality is realized inside its onboard FPGA which can be modified any time by implementing new IP cores in order to perfectly meet the customer’s requirements.

The P511 PMC mezzanine card is suitable for any PMC compliant host carrier board in any type of bus system, i.e. CPCI, VME or on any type of stand-alone SBC in telecommunication, industrial, medical, transportation or aerospace applications. The guaranteed minimum availability of 10 years makes the user’s project future-safe. What is more, the board is qualified for the extended temperature range.
