This fresh release is part of an innovative cross-development package that helps developers to build database applications and solutions on Windows XP for deployment on mobile devices and phones powered by Windows Mobile.

This Empress Ultra Embedded Database v10.20 Cross Development Package is for application development on x86 for Windows XP and deployment on ARM for Windows Mobile 6. The special release empowers embedded application developers with unique new features including text search index, Shiborikomi search, spatial indexing, and low-level Unicode MR calls, which result in increased efficiency and performance.

To show a sample database application using the Empress text search index capability, Empress downloaded the entire contents of the popular free online encyclopedia, Wikipedia, put its contents onto to an Empress database on a PDA, and indexed it using the Empress Text Search Index.
