Electro Standards Laboratories, Cranston, RI, announces the new QuickSwitch® Model 6297 OM3 LC Duplex A/OFFLINE/B Switch with Serial Remote. This sleek rackmount unit is Optical Multimode 3 (OM3) compliant for laser enhanced 10-Gigabit laser applications.

The Model 6297 Fiber Optic Switch allows access to any one of two separate fiber optic networks from one computer and utilizes MEMS-based mirror/prism technology. The Model 6297 with its secure OFFLINE position is ideal for fallback applications and can be controlled via front-panel pushbutton access or remotely via RS232 Serial Data for offsite control and monitoring. All Fiber ports are OM3 LC Duplex, 50/125 micron Laser Enhanced Multimode and support a wavelength of 850 nm.
