BOSTON, Mass. and STOCKHOLM, Sweden – September 12, 2005 – Interpeak, a pioneer of Internet and security protocol solutions for embedded systems, today announced at the Embedded Systems Conference a powerful networking and security solution for next-generation mobile phones and wireless devices. The solution comprises a number of Interpeak’s software products – Mobile IP, Radius, IKE, WPA2 Supplicant, IPSEC, and a dual mode IPv4/IPv6 TCP/IP protocol stack – bundled together to meet the networking, security, and mobility requirements of the next-generation mobile phones and wireless devices. The new bundled software enables rapid and comprehensive development and deployment of networking and security capabilities in wireless devices.

Manufacturers are already turning to Interpeak for its complete solution for the increasingly complex requirements imposed by UMTS for 3gpp phones. Such phones have challenging technical requirements that include the ability to move across different types of networks. Additionally, these phones require flexible technology with a small footprint, processor-independence, and compatibility with multimedia protocols such as SIP, RTP, and RTCP. Interpeak’s robust software package meets these needs and supports all major real-time operating systems including INTEGRITY, OSE, Nucleus, VxWorks, and Linux, and may be used with in-house systems.

Customers may select either IPNET or IPLITE, Interpeak’s IPv4/IPv6 protocol stacks, depending on their product priorities. IPNET is the first commercial TCP/IP stack to pass the IPv6 Forum’s requirements for using its IPv6 READY logo as either a host or router. IPLITE is Interpeak’s ultra compact host stack.
