ARM TechCon 2014 Selects Erica Kochi, Innovation Officer for UNICEF, as Keynote

SANTA CLARA, Calif. -- ARM TechCon, the leading conference for ARM-based embedded industry, has announced that Erica Kochi, one of Time Magazine's 100 "World's Most Influential People" and co-founder of UNICEF's Innovation Unit, will provide the keynote address for Friday morning, October 3, at the Santa Clara Convention Center.
A world-famous technology innovator, Kochi co-founded and co-leads UNICEF's Innovation Unit and is the senior innovation advisor to UNICEF's executive director. The Innovation Unit supports UNICEF's 135 country programs in the practical application of design and technology to strengthen international development outcomes. Kochi's keynote will address how raising awareness that "deploying cell phones into undeveloped countries isn't enough," and that there are truly innovative supporting technologies and infrastructure needed. That represents both an opportunity for social improvement, as well as real business opportunities, Kochi says.
Kochi joins a keynote lineup that includes ARM CEO Simon Segars, CTO Mike Muller, and Executive VP Pete Hutton.
