HCC-Embedded Releases USB Device Stack for TI MSP430 Microcontrollers
The MSP430 microprocessor platform of ultra-low power 16-bit RISC mixed-signal microcontrollers is used for a wide range of low-power and portable applications.
The new MSP430F550x, MSP430F551x and MSP430F552x microcontrollers include a USB device controller. HCC has ported its EUSB Device stack to these versions of the MSP430.
HCC’s EUSB Device stack running on the MSP430 can support multiple class drivers, including Mass Storage, HID, CDC-ACM (virtual comm. port), CDC-ECM, MTP, RNDIS, RFI, Printer and Bootloader. Full support for composite devices is available. A developer-friendly tool is provided for creating USB descriptors.
Fully integrated solutions, including file systems, USB stack and class drivers can be provided. Projects are available for standard MSP430 tool-chains, including Code Composer Studio, Crossworks and IAR.
