3 years 4 weeks ago

The Avnet Electronics Marketing Americas business region of Avnet, Inc. (NYSE: AVT) has been certified by ARM as an ARM Approved Training Center (ATC) for North America.

For over half a century, Avnet has supported the engineering community by providing tools and education to help improve design cycles. As a designer of advanced digital technology, ARM has been a key element in many of Avnet’s SpeedWay Design Workshops™ and OnRamp Technical Sessions™. As an ARM Approved Training Center, Avnet is now able to offer customers more in-depth training based on a range of ARM processors, including the Cortex-M3 processor, than was previously available.

“Designers have come to count on Avnet for some of the most comprehensive training and support in the industry. This investment accelerates our ability to provide them with the tools they need to leverage ARM technology,” said Marc Gsand, vice president of marketing for Avnet Electronics Marketing Americas. “Avnet has been an advocate of ARM for years and believes this agreement will bring a new level of enablement to the market.”

“ARM is committed to a comprehensive industry ecosystem to help engineers access and use advanced ARM technologies,” said Chris Shore, training product manager for ARM. “The ARM ATC Program is an important component of this ecosystem to ensure engineers have adequate resources for ARM technology-based design training.”

The ARM Approved Training Center Program comprises a network of organizations which provide ARM Training under license from ARM. Each training center is regularly inspected by the ARM training group to ensure that the training provided is of the same high standard as would be provided by ARM itself.

Together, Avnet and ARM will provide a total system solution that offers a fast, reliable path to market for leading electronics companies. For more information, please visit: www.em.avnet.com.
