Lauterbach Supports Infineon X-GOLDTM 102
TRACE32 CombiProbe combines a special debugger cable and a 128-MByte trace memory.
Hofolding, April 2008 - The TRACE32 ICD and TRACE32 PowerTools debuggers and the new TRACE32 CombiProbe from LAUTERBACH, the market and technology leader in hardware debuggers and real-time trace tools, now support the new X-GOLDTM 102-PMB 7890, a GSM-GPRS single-chip solution for the mobile communications sector.
TRACE32 CombiProbe combines a special debugger cable and a 128-MByte trace memory. For the X-GOLDTM 102 solution, CombiProbe provides:
* OCDS debugger for C166S V2
* Real-time program-flow trace for C166S V2 (MCDS)
* JTAG debugger for TeakLite DSP
The TRACE32 PowerView user interface enables efficient and user-friendly debugging at the C or C++ level over the chip-integrated JTAG interface. Over this 34-pin interface, the debugger can quickly access both processor cores (multi-core debugging for simultaneous debugging of both cores). The trace data reaches the 128-MByte trace memory from the trace port of the CPU, which is also connected to CombiProbe over the 34-pin interface. Program flow can thus be monitored without impairing real-time performance. External flash units can be programmed for many derivatives. An unlimited number of software breakpoints in the RAM and flash memory areas, debugging at the HLL and assembler levels, and support of the most commonly used C und C++ compilers are standard features. TRACE32 CombiProbe is used together with a PowerDebug module (over USB 2.0 or Ethernet 10/100 or 1000 MBit) on any host computer running Windows or Linux.
