Micro Digital SMX USB 2.0 Stack for CW5631 Processor
Bedford, MA, January 26, 2009 - ChipWrights worked closely with the Micro Digital development team to implement both the host stack (smxUSBH) and the device stack (smxUSBD) on the CW5631.
Unlocking this new capability will enable ChipWrights to provide cost effective support for a USB host and device on the CW5631 which, crucially, will be portable to many target operating systems.
Commented Cary Robins, President of ChipWrights: "We are delighted with the work and support of Micro Digital to realise this portable USB stack which they have delivered to us on the eCos operating system. The host stack element provides us with an expandable, hot-swap, plug-and-play USB interface for the CW5631, while the device stack ensures that we can rapidly add USB device capabilities for specific projects."
Said Ralph Moore President of Micro Digital: "From our perspective being able to deploy smxUSB, which is designed specifically for embedded systems, on the CW5631 offers the perfect platform to demonstrate the potential of this capability when implemented on the latest generation System-on-Chip (SoC) processors - particularly those designed for portable or embedded digital media products."
