Micro Digital Announces smxUSB 2.0 for Blackfin Processors
Offers both a Blackfin device driver and a Blackfin host device driver
Costa Mesa, California, April 17, 2009 -- Micro Digital, Inc is pleased to announce the port of Micro Digital's smxUSB 2.0 stacks to the powerful Blackfin processor family. smxUSB now offers both a Blackfin device driver and a Blackfin host device driver. For Blackfin processors without internal USB controllers, external controller drivers are available.
This makes the full arsenal of Micro Digital USB products available for Blackfin processors, which include, on the device side: audio, composite, Ethernet over USB (RNDIS), mass storage, mouse, serial, and multiport serial; on the host side: audio, CDC ACM (modem), HID, hub, mass storage, printer, RFID, serial, USB to Ethernet, USB to serial, and WiFi with WEP and WPA. These products interface with Micro Digital file systems and networking products. USB OTG (On The Go) is also available.
The smxUSB products are specifically designed for embedded systems and offer clean, simple implementations at moderate cost. The smxUSBD device stack starts at $4,000 for a royalty-free single product license. The smxUSBH host stack starts at $6,000. Drivers are extra. All products are available now.
