mSATA without data loss
The mSATA SDD of the M336 series contains a integrated uninteruptable power supply (UPS) that can prevent data loss in cases of a sudden power loss.
|M336 series – mSATA SSD with “power guard”|
In the industrial context power loss of any kind for critical embedded applications such as server or cloud computer is devastating. That’s why often an uninterruptible power supply (UPS) is deployed. Due to cost concerns or reasons of space this might not always be the right solution. The integrated “power guard” function of the mSATA M336 series from ICP Deutschland, however, makes the difference. This function works in case of a power blackout like an UPS that is integrated in the SSD and prevents possible data loss. The integrated tantalum capacitors are permanently charged with 12V and maintain the power as long as data saving of the mSATA is still in progress. Thus the mSATA SSD with power guard provides a distinct safety benefit versus conventional SSD. In this sense the compact Mini PCI Express form factor (51x30x3.9mm) provides an easy assembly and is simultaneously a space-saving mass storage solution with capacities between 32GB ~ 128GB.
