March 24, 2014 – CHICAGO – Newark element14, a high-service distributor of technology products and engineering solutions, is today launching the Tektronix TBS1000B Series, digital storage oscilloscopes with affordable performance in a compact design.
The TBS1000B, priced from $520, includes USB connectivity, 34 automated measurements, limit testing, data logging, frequency counter, trend plot and a context-sensitive help menu. Commercial and educational use variants with different price points and unique features are tailored to each target market segment.
The TBS1000B comes standard with a 7-inch high resolution TFT display for a clear view of all signals and critical on-screen information. The instrument is further enhanced by a user interface inspired by the award-winning Tektronix MDO/MSO/DPO series of instruments. The interface is easy to use, provides quick access to all the oscilloscope functions and includes a high-resolution “Pan & Zoom” feature enabling visibility of even more signal details of up to 10x normal resolution.
Additional features include:
Digital precision for accurate measurements
Critical tools for troubleshooting the device
Flexible data transfer
The intuitive user interface with dedicated per-channel vertical controls, zoom/magnifier button, convenient access to functions via soft keys and the multi-purpose knob make these instruments easy to use, reducing learning time and increasing efficiency.
The built-in help menu provides important information on the oscilloscope's features and functions. Help is provided in the same languages as the user interface. In addition to industry-leading service and support, every TBS1000B series oscilloscope comes backed with a 5-year warranty as standard.
“We are pleased to grow our Tektronix range with the addition of the TBS1000B,” said Chris Godfrey, Global Product Director Test & Tools, Newark element14. “Our drive is to support the customer from design right through to production, and this product’s great range of features makes it easier for engineers to diagnose problems quickly and efficiently.”
