Objective Interface Systems Announces Telecommunications Middleware Platform with Multiple-Processor Support

(OIS), provider of the most widely used communications middleware for real-time and embedded systems, today announced the OIS Telecommunications Platform, a standards-based, expandable software communications infrastructure for wireless base stations, routers, switches and network hardware. The OIS Telecommunications Platform features ORBexpress® RT, ORBexpress DSP and ORBexpress FPGA, OIS's high-performance communications middleware products. This platform supports a wide variety of hardware architectures in telecommunications systems: general purpose processors (GPPs), digital signal processors (DSPs) and field programmable gate arrays (FPGAs). This multiple-processor support lets telecommunications systems designers develop code once on a common platform and then easily deploy it to specific multi-processor hardware on an as-needed basis.
