STMicro reduces footprint of AEC-Q100 Grade-0 Analog ICs for automotive control applications

GENEVA, SWITZERLAND. STMicroelectronics has announced that the AEC-Q100 Grade-0 LM2904WHYST dual op amp and LM2903WHYST dual comparator are now in production. The LM2904WHYST and LM2903WHYST are designed in 4.9 mm x 3.0 mm MiniSO8 packaging for a 50 percent footprint reduction over other Grade-0 parts in standard SO8, and qualified for operation from -40°C to 150°C.

The ambient operating temperature range of these ICs permits operation in harsh environments such as under-the-hood electronics as applications like engine control, in-gearbox modules, LED-lighting control, and anti-lock braking system (ABS) control.

The new industry standard parts can be individually tested up to 150 °C as part of Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) tests and are priced from $0.76 for orders of 1000 pieces.
