TenAsys Embedded Virtualization Manager to be Highlighted in Microsoft Booth at SPS/IPC/Drives Conference
TenAsys’ new eVM platform brings real-time virtualization to Microsofts’ Windows Embedded operating systems on Intel multi-core processors.
Beaverton, Oregon – November 21, 2008 – TenAsys Corporation (www.tenasys.com), a leading provider of real-time OS and virtualization software, announces their participation in the Microsoft booth (#7A-645) at SPS/IPC/Drives 2008 in Nuremberg, Germany. Microsoft will be showcasing their range of Windows Embedded operating systems. Highlights will include the use of the TenAsys eVM virtualization platform to support Microsoft’s real-time Windows Embedded CE operating system alongside Windows XP Embedded on an Intel multi-core processor with Intel Virtualization Technology.

Unlike typical virtualization environments, which multiplex standard desktop and server operating systems by sharing the entire hardware platform, the TenAsys eVM platform supports the unique needs of embedded applications by enabling real-time and general purpose operating systems to run concurrently on a multi-core processor with dedicated CPU and I/O resources for each operating environment.
Attendees of SPS/IPC/Drives 2008 can see a first hand demonstration of Windows Embedded CE running on the eVM platform alongside Windows Embedded XP in the Microsoft booth.
The eVM platform for Windows, TenAsys’ most advanced virtualization platform, is scheduled for full release in 2009.
