Former Wind River Product Strategist to Boost OK Product Momentum
Chicago and Sydney, Australia, August 28, 2007 — Open Kernel Labs (OK), a global provider of operating systems and virtualization technology for embedded systems, today named Robert C. McCammon Vice President of Product Management. A product development professional, with deep embedded systems industry experience, McCammon will be responsible for OK product definition; defining and creating market opportunities, and the development of industry strategies.
In his most recent position as Director of Advanced Technology Planning at Wind River Systems (NASDAQ:WIND), McCammon was responsible for establishing plans and priorities for advanced technology development to address future product requirements. Prior to this assignment at Wind River, he managed both industry marketing and product management teams responsible for identifying market segment opportunities; developing market segment strategies, and delivering successful development tool and operating system products. This included product management responsibility for Wind River’s VxWorks and Development Tools product lines. Rob also strengthened relationships with industry partners who offered complementary product lines.

McCammon’s product management and marketing experience also has included positions at Integrated Systems, Software Development Systems, and Mentor Graphics/Microtec Research where he was responsible for sales and partner relationship development. He began his career in engineering and technical sales roles at Hughes Electronics and the Hewlett-Packard Company.
