Fiber Optic VXI Interface for PCI bus (FOXI) features a two-wire fiber optic highway transmission that provides up to 10 Mbytes/sec I/O throughout, sustained rate of4 Mbytes/sec when writing to disk
- Up to 126 chassis can be networked with up to 2 kms between fiber-optic nodes
- Completely supported by DAQ Director Software for WindowsNT
- A complete system includes a V122 Host Adapter for PCI bus, up to 126 V120 VXI Slot-0 controllers, and a fiber-optic highway
- The V120 is a single-width, C-size, VXIbus controller that interfaces the FOXI highway to a VXI mainframe
- It is a slave device receiving its commands from the host adapter
