DALLAS (June 11, 2008) — Texas Instruments (TI) Incorporated (NYSE: TXN) today announced that it has acquired Florida-based Innovative Design Solutions (IDS) for its expertise in developing analog chips and integrated solutions. The acquisition reinforces TIs analog focus and strengthens the companys ability to meet customer requirements for high-performance analog products.

“Analog is at the heart of solving some of the worlds most challenging problems and continues to be a significant area in which TI is growing and serving its customers,” said Art George, senior vice president for TIs High Performance Analog business unit. “Integrating the technical expertise of the IDS team with TIs talented analog engineers enhances our ability to deliver the right analog products for our customers applications.”
