Verum completes management team with key appointment

Verum has appointed Dr. Maria Briales as the companys Product Development Manager. Maria will be responsible for planning and coordinating the development of the Analytical Software Design (ASD) toolset.

“Maria will be in control of the whole process of turning our groundbreaking ASD technology into a product”, explains Robert Howe, CEO of Verum. “She will define the requirements, budget and staffing for the ASD suite, and manage the team to meet the product release milestones we aim to achieve in the second half of this year and the first half of next year.”

Dr. Briales will be part of the management team of the Eindhoven (NL) based company. “We are delighted to welcome such an experienced person to the team”, says Howe.

Over the last 15 years, Dr. Briales worked for Ericsson, where she has been responsible for a number of high-profile projects. Prior to that, she worked at the Universities of Wageningen, Delft and Tilburg, in the Netherlands.

Maria Briales was born in Malaga, Spain and holds a PhD in Biology (cum laude first class mark) at the University of Granada in Spain. She moved to the Netherlands in 1985.

ASD allows the design of a software system to be mathematically verified as complete and correct, even before a single line of code has been written. Defect-free source code is generated automatically, directly from the verified design. In principle, ASD can be used for any kind of software. However, it really excels in mission-critical applications, such as embedded software in medical, machine control and Automotive systems.
