Lauterbach Debug Tool supports MicroBlaze 8.50.c
Lauterbach enhances support for Xilinx based development
|MicroBlaze Debug Support from Lauterbach|
Lauterbach, the leading manufacturer of microprocessor development tools, has recently announced its support for the latest version of MicroBlaze™ 8.50.c introduced by Xilinx with EDK 14.7.
MicroBlaze™ is a soft processor core designed for Xilinx FPGAs from Xilinx. It is a 32-bit RISC Harvard architecture soft processor core that is included free with both Vivado Design Edition and IDS Embedded Edition. Its highly flexible architecture, plus a rich instruction set, is optimized for embedded applications.
The EDK (Embedded Development Kit) is an integrated development environment for designing MicroBlaze (and PowerPC) embedded processing systems in Xilinx FPGAs. With its latest release of TRACE32®, Lauterbach now supports the latest version of the MicroBlaze™ core, which is version 8.50.c.
"Our TRACE32 tools have supported MicroBlaze for many years," said Barry Lock, UK Manager of Lauterbach. "TRACE32 offers efficient and user-friendly debugging at the C or C++ level, using the on-chip JTAG interface. This interface also provides code download, flash programming and quick access to all internal chip peripherals and registers."
German based Lauterbach had a turnover in excess of $95m in 2012 with continued growth into 2013, and has seen its customer base grow year on year. Recognised for both engineering excellence and exceptional technical support, Lauterbach tools have become a favourite with many hi-tech engineers. Lauterbach tools support all the major families of embedded processor cores, covering products from 75 silicon companies. The quality and capability of these tools enable engineering teams to develop robust code whilst minimising development time lost to debugging.
"We are very pleased to announce our development tool support for the latest MicroBlaze core," said Barry Lock, UK Manager at Lauterbach. "Once again our team of German developers has demonstrated that they remain at the forefront of debug and development tool technology."
Lauterbach has recently announced its sponsorship of the 2014 UK Device Developers’ Conference. Lauterbach will provide a technical presentation and a half-day advanced debugging workshop. For more information about the 2014 Conference please visit www.device-developer-conference.co.uk
