Leveraging on-board acceleration technologies to maximize performance Live Event: November 5, 2013 (11:00 AM EST/9:00 AM MST) Freescale, Avnet participate in OpenSystems Media's E-cast

OpenSystems Media (OSM), LLC today announced its upcoming E-cast on Leveraging on-board acceleration technologies to maximize performance, moderated by Curt Schwaderer, Technical Editor, OpenSystems Media. The amount of network traffic continues to rise at dramatic rates to keep up with demand for IP-based voice/video/data services and applications.

It is estimated that annual global IP traffic will surpass 1.4 zettabytes by the end of 2017. This increase in network traffic requires processors that can securely and efficiently provide for control and data path in the same framework. Multicore Systems-on-Chip (SoCs) with offload acceleration help to meet the needs of network-hungry applications while delivering performance per watt criteria needed in embedded applications.

This webinar will explore how Freescale QorIQ T Series acceleration architectures such as pattern matching, data path, virtualization, protocol, and security offload engines can be utilized to maximize overall system throughput in embedded applications.

Avnet will be available for a Q&A immediately following the E-cast.
