PrismTech’s OpenSplice DDS selected for Atlas Copco excavation equipment

OpenSplice DDS to provide secure DDS messaging to next line of Atlas Copco excavation equipment.

BOSTON, MAPrismTech’s OpenSplice DDS product suite has been selected by Atlas Copco for the company’s latest mining and construction products. The PrismTech Opensplice DDS suite will drive commonality and technology reuse for the software platform usied in Atlas Copco’s line of underground excavation equipment, and help reduce the costs with maintaining solutions developed in house.

OpenSplice DDS is an implementation of the Object Management Group’s (OMG) Data Distribution Service (DDS), and enables real-time data sharing for Atlas Copco’s common software platform. OpenSplice DDS was designed to address the real-time data distribution and management challenges of industrial and manufacturing systems as part of PrismTech’s family of Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) technologies.
