Virtium Announces New DDR4 Mini-RDIMM, UDIMM Memory Modules
Virtium is introducing new JEDEC-based DDR4 memory modules with a variety of form factors and functional improvements. They draw 20% less power than DDR3 modules and feature a five-year warranty.
RANCHO SANTA MARGARITA, Calif. – Virtium, a solutions-driven provider of industrial memory and embedded SSD storage products, today announced an updated family of its DDR4 Mini-RDIMM and UDIMM memory modules based on JEDEC standards. These new memory modules, built upon the company’s two decades of design innovation and manufacturing expertise, provide an array of functional and form-factor improvements.
“These new DDR4 modules are now shipping and are the perfect building blocks for a variety of newer industrial embedded computer applications, including space-constrained 1U or blade card designs,” said Phan Hoang, Virtium vice president of engineering. “Designers now can leverage a range of capacities and small-form-factor modules for their next-generation designs.”
The DDR4 modules are available in both standard (30mm) and ultra-low-profile, or ULP (17.78mm) form factors and in these densities: 4GB-32GB for standard Mini-RDIMM and 4GB-16GB for standard and ULP Mini-UDIMM, ULP Mini-RDIMM and ULP Mini-UDIMM.
• standard and industrial temperatures support
• 20% less power consumed compared to DDR3
• conformal coating
• chip underfill and heat spreaders, upon request
• five-year warranty
